In Atlanta

When the decision was made for just me and the kids to drive to Florida I knew that I needed to make it fun and adventurous. Well, about 3 hours from our first stop of Knoxville is Atlanta, GA. Thanks to my wonderful sister I was informed about the aquarium they have. So no better place to stop for my kids than something that involves animals! It was a beautiful and very hot day in Atlanta so it felt nice to go inside!
If you have ever been I think you would agree that the Georgia Aquarium is absolutely wonderful. The details are absolutely amazing (even the thought that went into the floor plan is amazing). While you explore each "habitat" there is always an area where you are almost completely surrounded by an aquarium! It is so breathtaking!
The designers put special thought into their little visitors as well. They have several opportunities for the kids to interact and seize an educational moment! There is even a kids play section! The can climb aboard a pretend shrimping boat and explore the hands on exhibits and even touch the shrimp! One of Emma and Drew's favorite part was this whale slide where you exit out the whales mouth!!!
And the penguins are always a must see no matter where we go!
