The Butterflies!!!!

Okay, so when we left off we received our caterpillars in the mail just in time to make a much needed trip to Florida! So we put the caterpillars in the cup holder and hit the road. Our first stop on July 16 was Knoxville, TN. While there our caterpillars "cocooned". I am sure that Aunt Shirley was as excited as we were about this great change.


Sadly, we only spent one night in Knoxville and it was time to continue the adventure to Florida...so back in the cup holder they went. We arrived in Florida the evening of the 17th and the next day we transferred our "butterflies" into their net house so that could continue their transformation. On July 22 our first butterfly revealed herself!!
The next day all 4 butterflies had emerged!!!! HOW EXCITING!!! Then on July 24 we decided that it was time for the big release! Everything went smoothly and all 4 butterflies fluttered away beautifully!!
Of course after posing for the perfect picture!
By the way, since we have been in Florida the tadpole has grown legs!! Thank you Daddy for sending us pictures of Brenda the Bullfrog! We love you and miss you!
