I get it

I will be the first to admit that I never "got it" when it came to the phenomenon of NASCAR. But wow after visiting the Daytona 500 I have a new appreciation. Now I am not rushing out to buy me a Jeff Gordon or Jimmy Johnson shirt nor will I be glued to the TV every Sunday.. but I definitely do have a new appreciation!
The track tour and the facility were amazing!

Coming up on turn 4! I was never really able to get a really good picture of the embankment ~ I did learn it is at 31 degree angle and you should be traveling 90MPH to stay up on the embankment. WOW!

We did get to watch this car run hot laps from the infield. Drew thought that was really cool.

I really did enjoy our outing at the Daytona 500 experience! The science, teamwork and loyalty that goes into every car and every race is truly unbelievable!
