Snow Days

Well, we are definitely having a winter!!! With temperatures going down into the -teens and highs of +teens...along with lots of snow...and ice. Oh and don't forget there were some days with NO SCHOOL I am ready for some warmth!!! But until then here are some Snowy pictures!

In this picture the kids are looking for the water balloons. Before all of the snow and ice came we filled some water balloons up and hid them in the snow to see what exactly would happen. The next day we received 7 inches of snow!!! It was a lot of fun watching the kids dig around looking for the balloons, or should I say ice boats!

We went sledding!! It was warmer that day~ 23!

So even though it was warmer that day we were all still bundled up! Underneath our layers of clothes all of us wore our footy pajamas!! Yes, I own my very own pair of footy jammies!

So then to top off our very long cold ,snowy, icey winter last night our fan in our furnace motor burned up!!! HOORAY! The low last night was around -2 or -5, bus stop weather was 0 and the house was a warm 54!!!! So anyways, thanks Nanny and Papa for the kerosene heater!!!

The part for the furnace will be in tomorrow afternoon.. until then it's movies in the family room under blankets and we will all sleep in my bed with the electric blanket! We are surviving just fine...don't worry! Lots of love! Oh and I just looked at the extended forcast, by next week it will be as warm outside as it was in my house this morning....now that's a heat wave!
